Powertool for handling references – Zotero
I have just started a research project and looked around for a tool for handling reference data. I found Zotero, a handy extension to Firefox:
- The user interface is a joy! No need to enter editing mode or save changes!
- It is easy to grab data from Amazon and other sources of information as well as making snapshots of web pages. “It lives right where you do your work — in the web browser itself.”
- It downloads in a few seconds (if you are using Firefox, which you should)
- Since I installed it on my portable version of Firefox, I can carry my reference database with me on my USB memory stick and work with it on any computer
This is how software should work. Go get it!
